I am humbled by your work, it is so perfect, I only paint 15mm but really want to delve into 25-28mm soon. Your work gives me inspiration.

Hi Rob
Thanks for your observations on the Perry and Victrix plastics....I think I'll stick with metal figures from now, with the occasional resin figure thrown in! I may be tempted back when I see what the Perry cavalry look like. The 3 ups on the carabiniers do look very nice!
If I find some spare time to go over my method of painting faces I will. Its just finding the time!

A really nice website and some very good painted.

Also, I agree with your comments about Victrix plastics, as they do tend to be a pain to put together. One also seems to have to use putty to fill the gaps in the arm attachments, as these don't seem to be have all that well engineered. Still, they do look reasonable once put together in mass. The Perry Mini plastics are quite nice but a bit static in poses and also require some careful work, mainly to remove plastic where it shouldn't be. I have also found the head swaps a pain, as attaching the head and uniform collar together just doesn't work...a plug type like that used by Victrix would be preferred...and the Perry's seem to be correcting that with the new ones. Overall, plastic does have benefits over metal, and of course vice versa.

One final comment, I really like your style of painting faces. Would you care to provide a step-by-step how-to on this as part of your blog?

Keep up the good work.

All my best,

Rob
